PSNI is in support of several related trade associations. The selection of associations by the PSNI Board of Directors is based on the role of education, training, certification, shows, events, and the body of knowledge that supports the efforts of our affiliates. While not totally inclusive of all memberships, notable associations include:

InfoComm International

is the worldwide trade association for the professional audiovisual and information communications industries since 1939. InfoComm’s membership of more than 4,500 companies and individuals represents tens of thousands of AV professionals and spans the globe.

PSNI affiliates combined have over 600 CTS certified industry professionals. The CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) is based on a curriculum developed by InfoComm.

The demand for AV systems is a significant cultural trend. AV communication is considered critical by business, education, government, entertainment—in fact, all segments of the economy.

NSCA Building Connections

is the leading not-for-profit association representing the commercial electronic systems industry. With a slate of more than 2,500 member companies worldwide, the National Systems Contractors Association is a powerful advocate of all who work within the low-voltage industry, including systems contractors/integrators, product manufacturers, consultants, sales representatives, architects, specifying engineers and other allied professionals.

U.S. Green Building Council

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that certifies sustainable businesses, homes, hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods. USGBC is dedicated to expanding green building practices and education, and its LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System™. PSNI joined this organization in 2007.
