A Visionary Training Facility for University of Kentucky Football

Turning a vision into a $45 Million Reality with Chief

It was a vision that became a reality for the University of Kentucky.  A $45 million training facility that would place everything players would need to practice, train, eat, recover, and study under one state-of-the-art roof.

The project was a massive AV installation challenge that needed to be completed in a very short time frame.  After 19 months of construction, PSNI affiliate Alpha Video came in to design and install all of the audio and video systems for the new training facility.

Ease of Installation with Chief

Knowing that time was of the utmost importance, Alpha needed to chose a manufacturer known for it’s ease of installation and reliability. For this, Alpha turned to an industry leader in mounts, racks and interactive solutions: Chief.

Hundreds of Chief solutions were installed throughout the 36 spaces Alpha installed in the building including lobby, hallways, weight room, locker rooms, recruiting office, coach’s offices, team meeting rooms, position meeting rooms and the Center for Academic Services. Additionally, four video walls are installed throughout the facility provided by Samsung.

The Chief solutions included in the project are the following: CMS443 – Suspended Ceiling Kit, FCA110 – Media Player Adapter, FCA112 – Media Player Adapter, LTM1U – Tilt Mount, FCA106 – Side Cover, TS325TU – Swing Arm Mount, MTM1U – Tilt Wall Mount, TS525TU – Swing Arm.

Today, the University of Kentucky Athletic Department and their fans are thrilled by the new Football training center, happy to have made the vision a reality.
