Audiovisual Firms Join Major Industry Alliance
TULSA, June 2, 2008 – Audiovisual (AV) sales and systems integration firms Blue Sky Integrated Technologies, Inc., Delta AV, General Communications, Inc., Terra Nova, Inc., and Sensory Technologies were recently invited to join Professional Systems Network International (PSNI), a North American alliance of independent AV, IT, broadcast, and multimedia systems integrators. PSNI sought all five firms as members based on their impressive records of developing cost-effective, intuitive solutions to customers' technology needs and providing responsive, personalized service and support throughout their respective regions."We selected these firms from among hundreds of candidate firms," says PSNI Past-President and Membership Chair John Bluhm. "We are particularly impressed by how much their customers value their industry expertise, ability to meet extremely tight schedules, and high-quality and reliable work."
Drawing upon many years of industry experience, these four firms combine the latest in technology with quality AV design and installation and work collaboratively with customers to implement technology that meets their business needs. Notes Laura Moorhead, president of Seattle-based Blue Sky, "We build long-lasting relationships with our customers and stay directly involved with their integration projects. That way, we're able to ensure we deliver everything we promise during the sales process."
The firms' projects range from small, one-time equipment installations to multimillion-dollar, multisite installations. From the corporate world to academia, from government applications to retail needs, the firms' aim to design cost-effective communication systems that work well together so people can work well together. Bluhm remarks, "These firms have a reputation in the industry for engineering jobs properly from start to finish. They stay current on the latest AV technologies, and they have some of the best trained technicians in the industry." Notes Anne Sellers, managing principal of Indianapolis-based Sensory Technologies, "The greatest audio-video and teleconference equipment in the world is worthless if it doesn't end up saving our clients time and increasing efficiencies. Whether our clients are looking for a new system or simply a few new components, it's our job to make it all come together seamlessly."
PSNI affiliates must meet numerous membership criteria, including high ethical standards, proven professionalism and accountability, industry leadership in technology or services, and active participation in other industry associations. PSNI seeks firms that strengthen the diversity of the organization's core Page 2,
capabilities and reinforce the organization's standing and ability to offer comprehensive geographic coverage to clients throughout the United States and Canada.
Firms, in turn, benefit from PSNI membership by leveraging their knowledge and resources. For example, PSNI affiliates are able to lower the costs associated with managing national events and provide a standard level of service on a national basis. Mark Gottwig, president of Portland-Oregon based Delta AV, states, "Every project is a quest to create superior systems that offer extraordinary sight, sound, and performance. Collaboration with PSNI's talented member firms will enable us to lead quick-turnaround AV integration and videoconferencing projects of any scale in locations nationwide."
Membership in the PSNI network will also enable the member firms to better forecast and adapt to industry shifts and trends. Says Chris McCanles, owner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based Terra Nova, "PSNI membership will give us an opportunity to interact with other professional consultants in our field in a non-competitive environment where we can learn more about the fast-changing industry in which we work. This depth and breadth of understanding will make our company even more competitive and allow us to provide an even greater level of service to our clients." Sellers agrees, noting, "As part of PSNI, we'll gain the resources of a geographically distributed organization, giving us a distinct competitive advantage in this rapidly changing marketplace."
PSNI represents a North American network of independently owned affiliates that generates over $600 million in annual revenues with over 1,590 employees located in 59 offices nationwide. Founded in 1986, PSNI provides a forum for information exchange and problem solving, elevates public awareness of affiliates' capabilities, and offers a distinguishing standard of quality, integrity, customized service, and expertise.
