Terra Nova Joins PSNI

TULSA, February 20, 2008 – Terra Nova, Inc., an audiovisual (AV) sales and systems integration firm based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was recently invited to join Professional Systems Network International (PSNI), a North American alliance of independent AV, IT, broadcast, and multimedia systems integrators.

PSNI sought Terra Nova as a member based on the firm’s record of developing cost-effective, tailored solutions to customers’ technology requirements and providing responsive, personalized service and support throughout the Midwest region. Terra Nova holds the group’s exclusive franchise in the Wisconsin market. Drawing upon many years of industry experience, the firm combines the latest in technology with quality AV design and installation, as well as works collaboratively with customers to implement technology that meets their business goals. Notes company owner Chris McCanles, “Firms can no longer afford to focus exclusively on equipment sales. Because today’s customers expect more, we maintain an outstanding, technically savvy workforce and develop cost-effective, customized systems that meet our customers’ needs. Our number one goal is to bring added value to our customers through better technology design and innovation.”

“Terra Nova is a great addition to PSNI,” says PSNI Past-President and Membership Chair John Bluhm. “PSNI interviewed and selected Terra Nova from among hundreds of integrators in North America. They employ a full-service staff, so they manage electronic and electric systems’ work in house on the residential and the commercial side. They fit the profile of ‘tomorrow’s integrator’—they understand that our industry is in a state of constant change, and they’re embracing those changes with leadership and vision.”

Potential PSNI affiliates must meet numerous membership criteria, including high ethical standards, proven professionalism and accountability, industry leadership in technology or services, and active participation in other industry associations. PSNI seeks firms that strengthen the diversity of the organization’s core capabilities and that reinforce the organization’s standing and ability to offer comprehensive geographic coverage to clients throughout the United States and Canada.

Firms, in turn, benefit from PSNI membership by leveraging their knowledge and resources. For example, PSNI affiliates are able to lower the costs associated with managing national projects and provide a standard level of service on a national basis. Says Bluhm, “Membership in PSNI gives affiliate firms the resources of a geographically distributed organization while still enabling the firms to give customers the customized, speedy service they expect.” McCanles agrees, stating, “Our PSNI affiliation will enable us to continue to grow our business on the commercial side and to offer AV integration services on projects of any scale and for customers in locations outside the Midwest.”

Family owned and operated since 1997, Terra Nova has built a strong reputation over the years by performing full-service residential and commercial system design, installation, sales, program management, and consulting services. Their staff includes industry experts in the fields of audio/video, telecom and data, security and surveillance, telecommunications, lighting and climate control, and systems integration. The firm’s target markets include higher education, healthcare, utilities, service providers, legal, and high-end retail.

Membership in the PSNI network will also enable Terra Nova to better forecast and adapt to industry shifts. Notes McCanles, “PSNI membership will give us an opportunity to interact with other professional consultants in our field in a non-competitive environment where we can learn more about the fast-changing industry in which we work. This depth and breadth of understanding will make our company even more competitive and allow us to provide an even greater level of service to our clients.”

PSNI represents a North American network of independently owned affiliates that generates over $500 million in annual revenues with over 1,590 employees located in 59 offices nationwide. Founded in 1986, PSNI provides a forum for information exchange and problem solving, elevates public awareness of affiliates’ capabilities, and offers a distinguishing standard of quality, integrity, customized service, and expertise.
