At first—or second— glance, it might seem like motor racing and audiovisual integration have nothing in common. But for UK-based AV integrator Candeo Vision, the two go hand-in-hand. The company, headquartered in Central London, has been a sponsor of the British Touring Car Championship for several years now. They often treat clients and staff members to race meetings and behind-the-scenes access to the grid and the drivers.

And just like professional drivers give it their all on the track, Candeo Vision goes the distance for their AV integration clients across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. They work in industry sectors including financial, media, PR, IT, publishing, energy, retail, healthcare, leisure, aerospace and defense, and commercial construction.

Candeo Vision Leads—and Outlasts—the Competition

Formed in April 2006, Candeo Vision has been on the AV integration scene longer than many of its competitors, said Robert Lingley, Director. And the company has spent those years enjoying sustained year on year growth and profitability.

“As a leading UK consultant and systems integrator of video conferencing, large format displays, LED displays, projectors, integrated audio solutions, video ‘media’ walls, and IPTV, as well as a proven creator of bespoke room control and scheduling software, Candeo Vision provides industry-leading service. We deliver robust turnkey solutions that ensure protection on investment and best value for money,” Robert said. “Candeo Vision adds value by designing and delivering coordinated solutions to an extensive portfolio of clients and seamlessly integrating into new or existing spaces. We are comfortable adopting and adapting international client standards and guidelines. We’re also not afraid to start from scratch to deliver a high quality and intuitive user experience for a wide range of budgets.”

A PSNI member since 2017, Candeo Vision now brings these skills to the international market. The company has partnered with fellow PSNI members including HB Communications, Meritec, Ditec, AVB, Datavision, Granteq, and AVT.

“Our opportunity for international projects keeps growing, and our clients love that they have a single point of contact to engage on multi-country projects,” Robert said.

Emphasizing People Over Projects Will Help PSNI Members Succeed

Whether at home or abroad, it’s looking beyond just single, one-time integration projects that has kept Candeo Vision’s business and expertise growing. That kind of approach will be key to the company’s continued success going forward, Robert said.

“It has come sharply into focus that we are steering on the right path,” he said. “We have always concentrated on client experience and offering the best advice—whether or not it is, at the time, the most immediately profitable route. We are not targeting single projects, rather looking for client partnerships that can flourish over many years and deliver real value and trust for our clients, while keeping our team engaged in the evolution of long-term relationships.”

As for how the AV industry will change as those relationships develop, that’s anyone’s guess, Robert said.

“The future of AV is a difficult one to predict, especially given the present situation with COVID-19,” Robert stated. “But it’s important to realize there will always be opportunities. For example, the rise in working from home and teams being divided between offices and remote locations has expedited the equipping of all meeting rooms and spaces with Zoom, MS Teams, and other similar capabilities. And, while there has been a shift towards the IT sector taking over AV, AV still has a very critical role to play, especially for more complex projects. AV teams are still translating the client brief and taking the design lead.”
