When it comes to professional audiovisual system integration, Taiwanese company Dacoms goes wherever the people are. The company, founded in 1985, has installed AV equipment, control systems, and multi-media networking technology everywhere from busy shopping malls to popular museums to crowded movie theaters, and from intelligent classrooms to large conference halls and meeting rooms.

But in one key way, Dacoms stands alone. After just a year as a PSNI member, Dacoms became the first company in all of Taiwan to earn the PSNI Global Deployment certification. Now better prepared than ever to deploy multi-site, multi-country installations, Dacoms looks forward to collaborating with PSNI members across the globe.

“Ever since we became the first company in Taiwan to earn this certification from PSNI, our global reputation has grown widely,” said Jacky Lee, product manager at Dacoms. “We appreciate that PSNI made us a part of this big audiovisual family that spans from every part of the world. We really enjoy sharing our experiences and work with other integrators from other countries. And we will try our best to help any other alliance member if they need us.”

Why PSNI Membership Makes Dacoms a Trusted Global Partner

Since becoming a member of the PSNI Global Alliance a year ago, Dacoms has collaborated with Level 3 AV and Diversified on a total of three global projects. In the 30 years Dacoms has been in business, they have completed thousands of AV design, installation, and integration projects for clients across all industries.

“Dacoms has always been a trustworthy partner, not only to clients in Taiwan but also in the global market,” Jacky said. “With the best design team and technicians in the field, we will continue to maintain our corporate mission and meet the needs of every client with reliable and professional service.”

The key pillars of that mission are quality over quantity, integrity and commitment, and perfect after-sales service. And Dacoms strives to fulfill this mission not just for integration clients, but also for the vendors they work with. Dacoms is the designated agent in Taiwan for many leading international AV brands including PSNI Preferred Vendor Partners Biamp and Christie.

With multiple departments targeting different types of AV applications, Dacoms can use their strong vendor relationships and wide knowledge of the latest solutions to tailor integrated AV systems to the specific needs of each customer. Need a complex integrated video conferencing system for a large corporate campus? The engineering and design department can help. Looking to engage patrons at a mall, movie theater, or even in your office lobby? Then the entertainment solutions department should be your first stop.

“Working with each client to understand their needs and then providing professional integration solutions and services for system design, engineering, and technology utilization is what has made Dacoms a leading company in the Taiwanese AV industry,” Jacky said.

The Future of AV is Superior Service That Meets Customer Needs

In the more than three decades since Dacoms opened its doors, there have been plenty of changes in the AV industry. For example, flat-panel displays replaced projectors, and then LED displays replaced flat panels. And the technology will keep changing and evolving, Jacky said, so the real way for integrators to stay ahead of the competition is not to focus on every new tool or technology that comes along, but to focus on service and skills that evolve to meet clients’ needs.

“Creative ideas and unique systems integrations will help you earn respect and make you an attractive AV partner,” Jacky said.
